Why I'm writing this newsletter?
I sensed the urgency of constant publishing during my first involuntarily unemployed. Before, I wrote a bit, but I kept things to myself. After being fired, I was very lonely and depressed and needed a way out. I started to read some books, and the more I read and tinkered, the more I realized what I could offer in this letter.
It's not the uniqueness of my idea. I'm not trying to preserve my views and not sharing them by any means. But I also do not deny that one can have a few original insights, if any. The vast majority of the letter will be of ideas I learned and observed elsewhere. (I may quote the original as much as possible, but it won't be as complete as a paper. That being said, you can always request origin by sending an email to me)
What I'll try to offer is the comfort that there're some other people like you (aka me), my dear audience, that despite some difficulty and struggle, still strive to do the right thing and do it right. Most people don't understand how short one's life is and how hard it is to live it to the fullest. So most people ever challenging these thoughts get demoralized by the people surrounding them, heck I feel lonely along my path. And by seeing I learn slowly and make mistakes often, you know it's just another normal process of learning and evolving, and you probably can do it better than I do.
Why should you read my newsletter?
In each issue, I'll offer some insights I read from a book on self-improvement of some kind, and maybe books I'm reading and why they're worth reading:
My writings are:
Personal
Interdisciplinary
no-nonsense and may be hard to accept
My writings are not:
Things I don't believe
What I'll offer in the newsletter?
Personal insights on all the means to improve one's life. It could be as small as how to sleep and eat or about career or marriage.
How often will I publish?
I plan to publish at least once a month. I may be able to write much more often, but it's better to stay modest.
How long will I publish?
I plan to keep publishing for two years and reevaluate the decision on Sep.1, 2024. If I plan to shut down, I'll let everyone know then.
My success metric
Your thoughts. I'm writing so that I can do things with the highest standards. I don't care what *most people* think of me or think of my newsletter. I'm open to criticism because I want to grow fast and steadily.
So if you're also willing to share your thoughts, I'll be more than appreciated.
